Welcome to the Fern Fractals blog. This blog attempts to embody the spirit of the internet before the social media explosion. In those days, the internet was full of people hiding their real names while expressing their true selves. These days, it’s full of people showing their real names while hiding their true selves.

I’m a programmer, environmentalist, musician, father, mountaineer, and chess enthusiast.

I created this blog as an unfiltered place to express what I think and feel.  My views on society and culture are often critical, controversial, and even adversarial.

A few people have enjoyed my rants over the years (and plenty haven’t lol). People kept asking if I’d write them down, and so I finally created a space for it.

If you sign up for this blog, I will respect your privacy (never sell your data). All I ask for in return is that you respect mine, and don’t pass these takes on to my employer lol.
